Hey guys,

I want to say thank you to everyone who has purchased my app or downloaded it with a promo code. This is my first app, and I released it a few days ago. I set myself a personal goal to get my app to the top 100 in the paid productivity category. Today, I found out that the app is #98. I just started learning objective c a few weeks ago and this is pretty big for me. So once again, thanks a lot.

Also, thanks for all the feedback you guys have been giving me. I've seen a lot of similarities in what you guys are saying, so I will work to incorporate the things you've asked for into a quick update.

The idea for easyPlanner came from the iPhone native calendar. The native calendar allows you to click on a date and add events for you to remember. I tried using the calendar and was extremely disappointed. It took 5-10 clicks just to get a single event to be recorded (write in date, time, notes, title, etc all separately). This makes the iPhone calendar virtually unusable.

I wanted something which runs very fast, loads quickly, doesn't hog much memory, and is as intuitive and easy to use as possible.

Here's what easyPlanner looks like:

There are only two screens. One displays notes. You can click on a day and the notes will load instantly. There is no delay like in the iPhone 'notes' app. Tap anywhere on the screen to add a note, hit save, and you are done. The note will appear whenever you click on that date.

This comes to show how adding tons of features to an application can make it much worse. Often, simpler apps are the way to go.

I just submitted our new app, easyPlanner, to the app store. I needed an application where I can store important notes on dates in the future, but was disappointed with the iPhone calendar. For example, in order to record a meeting i need to go to into the iPhone calendar app, I would need to open the app, click on the correct date, click 'event', type an event, click 'done', select the 'time' and write it in, etc etc etc. This is annoying, so I looked for an application which is simpler to use, and couldn't find one.

I decided to take the matter into my own hands and write an app myself. Presenting: easyPlanner. Just click on the screen, and you can write whatever information on a given day you want, without having to deal with clicking through a series of screens. Hit save and you're done. The simplicity of the application makes it load very fast (even faster than the Calendar app).

Hopefully everyone will find this useful. The app is still in a preliminary state (though fully functional). If anyone has suggestions on things we can change, bugs we should fix, or features you want to see, please feel free to let me know.
